No mention of the shooter, but a big picture of Beto at the top of the article. Now 7 dead and there is a wounded 17 month old little girl.

Some mention of a .222 AR 15 styled rifle. Not sure if I typed that correctly as I am no rifle expert.

This is 4 mass shootings in Texas in less than 2 years.

This does not seem like an efficient way to get crazy people dead or behind bars.

Yes the definition of a mass shooting is really easily manipulated by the Democratic party. It's a terrible situation and my heart goes out to the familys at the same time our guns rights should not be infringed upon ever.

I am watching the update officials are giving on FOX right now and it just ticks me off that some of the questions from the media immediately zero in on AR15 bans. They are so naive it is scary.

We talk about not glorifying the shooter by giving his name or picture out and then we yammer as there might be a conspiracy when they are not given out

There is a difference between providing basic info about the person, and blasting every little tidbit about them, especially when the identity of the murderer is used to lambast those who didn't commit the crime.

Dang you quoted me before I got notariety corrected.

We will see if he is left or right. Problem is people in the center want it to stop and they may push the narrative to ban guns.

Now that we know he opened fire on the police before they even approached him I am wondering if he was on his way to do a mass shooting and by coincidence got stopped by the cops.

I agree.

Shooter has been named. White anglo, male, 36 yo. Small arrest record from 2000. Parents divorced when about 5. Born in East Texas. Parents and sister I believe still living here in Texas. He was recently fired from his job.

Arrests sounded misdemeanor. Got 24 months probation, where it drops off, if you successfully complete it. Non violent charges.
