Don’t get rid of those gas powered units though. When power generation stops after the Boog kicks off, it’ll be a while before you’ll be able to trim your bushes and mow your lawn .... unless you’ve got a solar array set up at your bunker.SQLGeek wrote: Mon May 18, 2020 10:34 pmSame here. I got a deal on a used Ego mower and it runs like a scalded cat. My Husqvarna trimmer will also be replaced by an Ego eventually. The mower has been great and battery compatibility between the tools is awesome.mojo84 wrote: Tue May 12, 2020 8:27 pm However, I am switching over to battery powered equipment for a lot of things like blowers and string trimmers.

I did not think of this. Holy cow! I can't imagine letting my lawn get scraggly, Even in a bug out situation. The Annoyed Man wrote: Tue May 19, 2020 9:22 amDon’t get rid of those gas powered units though. I confess that I hadn’t thought of that.SQLGeek wrote: Tue May 19, 2020 9:58 am The overgrown lawn will hide my moat full of alligators though. :D

Re: Ethanol free
I noticed ever since ethanol was mandated the price of food started going up. We shouldn’t be turning food into gas. All it’s been doing is making the price of beef and diary go up.
I had a mower that ran great for a year or two but then the ethanol gas tore it up. I sprayed it out with carb cleaner. My friend told me how some landscapers he knows put SeaFoam in their gas. I started doing that and didn’t have any problems with that mower again. I haven’t had any problems with any small engine since.
