Looks like they are mailing them out, and getting into the hands of the USPS the same day the website rolls over to active license. That's good!

It looks like today is the day
At approximately 7:20am I decided to check my CHL status...and wouldn't you know...
Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

Thanks for the heads-up, Navy Chief. It would be nice to have plastic in hand Monday or Tuesday
Quick question...do you have to wait for plastic in hand, before you can legally carry? I am sure this has been asked/discussed many times, however, my initial forum search just didn't turn up what I was looking for.

Yes you do have to wait until you physically have the license in hand before you can start carrying.
Back in the summer that was a problem because it was taking up to 3 weeks after approval and activation before the license was received. That's not the case now. I got my license 2 days after it changed to approved. I think CHLady got her plastic 2 days after activation as well.
So your time is short. Congratulations!
