You are in for a wait. Most folks are exceeding the 60 day mark and then some.

Confirmation 23 February 2016 (T-0 Days)
Status Change 4 May 2016 (T+71 Days)

Just hang in there. Average wait time seems to be about 90 days after everything is submitted. I'd try calling again around the 60 day mark to make sure everything has been processed. If you get that automated message, just keep trying to call back every couple minutes. Eventually you'll be put on hold for a rep.

Hang in there everyone. I'm outta here. It has helped tremendously chatting in here with like minded people waiting on my plastic to arrive. It definitely made the wait more bearable. it took me 86 days from class to plastic. see ya.

congrats and get over to wally world and get it done, finally gave up and sent call to state rep to see status just want to know if everything was done right. Mike

The waiting game has come to an end for me!!! All in with confirmation 2/16/16. Status change yesterday and plastic today!

Much faster than I was expecting, called RSD yesterday to confirm receipt of all necessary documents and the nice lady told me that it was going to print tomorrow (today, 4/29)....its even going to beat my stealthgear holster which was ordered the same day as I applied for LTC.

you have to get calling over and over to get into the cue. I called public safety commission and got someone to call me back about it and they sent my app to processing took exactly 7 days after my call to get my license. I was all in 3/3/16. 5124247771 is the number

Called for status on 4/29/2016
Was told that they had my application but no paper work or documents were attached even though I had attached them on 1/31/2016... They lost my documents.. I re-attached the documents (finger prints and CHL-100) I called back 4 hours later for a status and was told that it was now in process and should be in the mail in 7 - 10 days.

1/21/2016 - Certification of Criminal History [No criminal history] (TX Personal Review copy)
4/07/2016 Received mail notification from DPS that CHL Instructor's license had expired - resubmitted a new CHL-100 dated 4/2/2016

4/13/2016 at 11:55 am I called and managed to get into the wait cue - after a 50 minute wait finally spoke to very nice lady - I was concerned that I had mailed my new CHL-100 in without the reject letter - RSD received my new CHL-100 on 4/11/2016 - she said that should be no problem and noted my account - she did say that they were still swamped -

The other two folks that took the course with me sent their new CHL-100's with the reject letter -

5/6/2016 The web site changed for the other two that mailed the new CHL-100 in with the RSD request letter - One received his license later that same day (5/6), the other received his license today (5/9)

Mine is still no change -

All in on 02/25. Called Friday May 6th, was told my app had been sent for background check and I should have plastic in hand in 2-3 weeks as long as there's no problems and there shouldn't be. We will see I'll believe it when I get it.
