You have not gone to the Dark Side, Luke.

You have a custom 1911 trigger, which is way better than a light-saber.

I like my Glocks, but I love my 1911s...

Ok. That still doesn't help me. I may be retarded, tfrazier, what the heck is that thing, and what's a Tardis?

nedmore, if you like the Fuente Opus X, try the Litto Gomez Diez series, the Lusitania is my favorite.

Google search "Doctor Who" "Sonic Screwdriver" ...and TARDIS stands for "Time And Relative Dimension In Space". Sonic Screwdriver not recommended for takedown and reassembly of 1911s, but great for opening gun safes. Next week we'll cover the use of psychic paper.

Glad you're happy with your new baby! I'm still getting "use" to my KAHR P9. Being a Wheelman at heart, I am getting familiar with the dynamics before I use it as my carry weapon. You made a great choice and am glad it meets your expectations!

Hey,

New to the group. Thought I would combine the "Introduce yourself" and "Pics of your Daily Carry" in one fell swoop.

I'm 43 years old. Got my CHL this past spring. Carry everywhere its legal to do so. My wife took the course at the same time. I originally carried a nickel Beretta 86FS, but since I have kind of short fingers, I was never completely comfortable with the double stack thickness of the grip. So... sold the gun and bought the single stack version. Love it!

Here's my primary carry at this time:

Beretta 85FS, .380 caliber. Loaded with Federal Hydrashock. Being budget minded, I wasn't able to find an IWB rig that I both liked and could afford. The holster and mag pouch in the pics I made myself, since I had leather from making knife sheaths.

Welcome aboard & a good job on the holster.
I guess I am going to have to do the same for a N-Frame I have & dont want to spend $80.00 for a range & hunting holster.
Glad to have you.

Welcome to the forum. Nice job on the holster. Do you have a special machine that you stitch it on?

Thanks! I don't own a leather sewing machine.

I made a pattern on paper, cut out the body of the holster, and then glued it using leather glue. Then I marked the locations of the stiching holes by tapping along a line with a 4 prong stiching chisel (two layers is a bit much to punch through at once for me). Then I put the smallest diameter bit I have into my drill press and drilled through at each point marked by the punch. Just took a couple of minutes. Stiched around by hand with waxed thread and a couple of needles.

Finally got my High Noon Holster - Split Decision for the RIA Compact.

Can't thank RandTX enough for the great deal.

I have a Puma Trapper pocket knife for small stuff and the Benchmade for abusive stuff. One thing I must mention, you must get a Spencer Spacepen, it is truly pocket size. Closed, that pen is smaller than the Puma pocket knife. It can come in handy when writing down a phone number or license plate number. I also carry one spare 7rd mag. in a Bianchi Mag-Packer. Fit s perfectly in the left front pocket along with the pocket knife and pen. The right pocket is for cigs, keys.
