Do you think this will this get through the Senate with the last amendment added?
I don't think there will be a problem because of the amendment. The overall feud between the House and Senate could be a problem, but probably not on this gun bill.

Chas.
Charles, what feud is that? I didn't know there was one.

Amendment 18 looks good to me - it reduces the offense for walking past a 30.06 from a Class A Misdemeanor to a Class C. It could be a poison pill, though, if it's controversial in the Senate and prevents passage.

Which version do you think we'll get? I also noticed that House bill doesn't have the Jan. 1 start date meaning it would become effective in September. Hopefully the House version will prevail on all points.

The amendment's author only mentioned 30.06, not open carry. So if HB910 passes with this amendment, 30.06 will still apply to CC, but with a somewhat lesser penalty, and no mention of how it applies to OC.
That's what I gathered. So if I followed that, 30.07 still has the Class A penalty but concealed carry gets the lesser penalty.
I haven't read the amendment but when being questioned he mentioned 30.07 would apply, too

Finally! Time to move onto another bill that will extend 2nd Amendment rights. Campus Carry.

I think 30.07 received the same language.

The bill only addresses CC

Now this is interesting. I just looked at the OCT Facebook page and they were updating for a while, but the latest post is 4 hours old and deals with the retention holster issue. Yes, very interesting indeed.

The grandstanding by the progressives is somewhat comical now that it's over. It was painful to watch while it was ongoing though.
