 One Gentleman on the forum I have named CZ, I think he has every one made and has almost convinced me that I need some, they are one of the most accurate handguns I have ever shot.
Maybe he will come on later.

Sorry, I've been posting here for a little while now, but haven't formally introduced myself.

I've lived in Texas for about 3 years, before that I lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana my entire life.

I served a short enlistment in the USMC, which ended with a knee injury after 12 of 13 weeks at MCRD San Diego. I still have intense loyalty to the Corps.

I've owned guns my entire life, and carried when I was in Louisiana. I got my Texas CHL last summer, and have carried daily since.

I can't recall ever not having guns in our home, and I was raised to respect them and use them properly.

I work as a Field Service Engineer in the oilfield, working on Power Electronics Systems (VFD's and SCR's).

I carry a Glock 22 and a Glock 23, and my main carry holsters are a Comp-Tac Pro Undercover, Comp-Tac C-TAC, Desantis Mini-Slide, and (my new favorite), a Tucker HF1.

I reload all my practice ammo, and fire nearly 1000 rounds of ammo per month at the Sharp Shooter in Corpus Christi. I also practice with my rifles regularly.

I really like what I see happening on TexasCHLForum, and greatly appreciate the input of all the members here. I hope I can be a good influence here as well.

I had a somewhat similar experience at MCRD. Several of us flew into Miramar on a cross country and went to the O-Club at MCRD (MCrud) on a Friday night where I was neatly shot down and wounded in the heart by several young ladies. I ended up with a bruised ego but, I still have an intense loyalty to young ladies. My wife lets me look, but I can't date.

Now that flat funny!! :smilelol5: :rolll

Welcome Rob. Do you happen to know a former Navy flight instructor named "Walt" Walters? He's on the NRA Board of Directors and now lives in Virginia. He's older than you, but I believe you guys may have been serving at the same time.

Sorry, I don't remember him. Must be a good guy, though.

Howdy all! I stumbled upon this forum from a link at another site. I've lived in Texas since 2002 when I got out of the military. As a compromise with my wife I told her if she put up with me being a Paratrooper, I'd move to Texas when I was done and so here I am. I recently graduated from college and now I work for an investment management firm. I run a Paratrooper website and am the vice chairman of the local chapter of the 82nd Airborne Division Association. I've got a 6 month old son so after all of that I don't have much time left over. I've been around weapons all my life and deeply believe in the 2nd Amendment. If there's anything else you'd like to know, just ask.
