The video with John Wayne, Dean Martin, Walter Brennan, Ward Bond and Rick Nelson is from the movie Rio Bravo.

This song by Rick Nelson - "Welcome To My World" isn't in the film.

Throughout his short life, Gram belonged to many musical groups. He played with Jim Stafford as a member of "The Legends" in Winter Haven, Florida where they were both raised.

I haven't thought of this song in years! Rio Bravo and El Dorado had the same themes and they are two of my top ten favorite movies.

A legend.
Always liked that one, but my favorite of his is the hauntingly beautiful "Yesterday When I Was Young"
"I looked out under the sun and saw that the race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong" Ecclesiastes 9:11

Have watched both of those within the last couple of months. Each time I watch Rio Bravo, I find myself whistling the "My Rifle, Pony and Me" melody randomly for a week or so afterwards..lol
