DPS status page live with background check pending 10 AUG
Background Check complete 11 AUG
Print Pending 12 AUG
Considerations:
don't have a common name
clean criminal record (double checked with FBI fingerprint records check out of curiosity)
lived in GA from 2012-2013 (before and after GA lived in D/FW)
military honorable discharge '97-'06
lived most of my life in NY

I wondered if that could happen. I read that the people that update the status are different than the people that issue the licenses. Hum....maybe mine will show up even though mine says under review.

Just waiting and checking daily now lol. Hopefully something happens soon.
As of 8-13-16, before their site went under maintenance, was still at fingerprints/bg under review. Crazy to see all these applicants who completed after me get theirs issued before me, some barely even two weeks later...Anyone have a clue why some people, myself included, are having their fingerprints under review for so long?

I have a hazmat license which requires background and fingerprints so I wish I could say that's why mine seems to be moving so fast, but my wife applied same as me and her status is the same. And my friend who also holds hazmat but applied back in March took him 3 months. So no idea. One thing I can say I've noticed the ones who took class and had all there paper work ready to go before they applied online move much quicker. Once you take the class the instructor has to submit the info as well so if you take class after you apply it all has to wait and then be matched up.

Maybe I applied then took the class. I have a security license that is from dps with the same fingerprint type background check with the fbi. So I thought mine would be pretty quick.
