My main CC handgun is going to be the a Taurus Model 145 45ACP MILLENNIUM:

I have the typical native Texan outlook in that I like everything bigger so I'm considering a S&W 500 w/4" barrel also ! I know this is crazy but I must have a 500 and I figure I will get the 4" barrel as a CC aswell as a 10" barrel for hunting.

With the 500, you could stop your attacker, and the 7 people standing behind them :nono: . The Taurus is a good choice though...

Yah your right I guess I was kinda in the "more power" mode! Anyway the 500's to darn heavy and big for CC but it was fun thinking about it!

I actually own a 5" Model 29 I've semi-seriously considered as a carry weapon, despite its size. I know that Corbon makes a downloaded personal defense load for the .44 magnum, which is not supposed to overpenetrate. I am genuinely curious if anybody here has any experience with regular carrying of an N Frame S&W.

My new CCW is the Walther PPS 9mm. Now if the CHL would get here I'd be all set

Man I am digging the extended clip that is in the gun because so many CC gun's have such a short handle atleast one finger is not able to grasp it.

The long mag is an 8 round, middle is 7 round(still holds the 3rd finger pretty well) and the small one is 6 round, which I'll use for pocket carry. :fire

It followed me home!!

I went to the Dallas show last Saturday and this grabbed me around the ankle and would not let go. As you can see, there is a "glint" in her eye thanks to Crimson Trace.

I also got this Hi-Standard Model "A" from my MiL. Serial number says manufacture was October to December 1940.

I took both to Garland on Sunday and that sweet little .22 caliber pea shooter almost shot rings around the new .45.

Reason I mentioned that is because I have no pincky finger so a full-length handel or clip that extend's is very nice.

I see where the extra grip length in your palm would come in handy!
