Holly Williams is the granddaughter of Hank Williams, Sr.

Aside from the family tradition, she has talent.

I have tickets to see her in Houston on July 11th.

The "Duck" is going to be a great venue for her show. I'll be the guy with the big bowl of beef and carrots and a Harp at the 7:00.

Holly Williams closed her performance with "I Saw The Light" [the video isn't from her Mucky Duck show].

I recorded the sound, but not a video. It got the crowd going.

Dadtodabone - I was too late to get tickets for the dinner show, but had a great dinner at the Haven.

Lucky you! That should be a great show.

I am thinking about Joe Ely next month.

For those who haven't been to McGonigel's Mucky Duck, it is a terrific venue for acoustic music.

There are about 200 seats, so they are all close to the stage. No big screen monitors required. :=)

They have "name" performers as well as upcoming talent. Tickets are typically $20-40.

For their dinner show, they serve pub food, such as beef Guinness, Shepard's Pie, Welsh rarebit, Scotch eggs, fish & chips.

Their food is reasonably priced and excellent quality.

It is my favorite place to see live music in Houston.

Johnny Winter - "Rollin' and Tumblin"

One of the great blues guitarists.

David Phelps. In my opinion one of the greatest tenors in gospel music.

I agree with your review of the Duck. Have enjoyed many wonderful performances there.

Very nice performance. Mr. Phelps has a wonderfully expressive voice with impressive range and power.
