2/24/16 Passed written and range test.
2/27/16 Paperwork was received.
Waited patiently drooling every time the mailman put mail in the mailbox.
5/5/16 status changed
5/5/16 Five minutes later the mail ran and my card was mixed in with my bills.
God I love Texas.

Status changed this morning and my license came in the mail this afternoon - 70 calendar days!

This is a strange one, no status change or plastic in the mail !! But I did receive this email...

First off, I'm new'ish here but I've been enjoying reading the many posts for a while now. They have kept me occupied. This is however, my first post.
Timeline
LTC class Feb 27th.
Online application around March 3rd.
Snail mailed all docs March 4th.
Including chl100 and print card.
No sort of confirmation or request for additional info, so far.
I'm assuming that everything was recieved around March 10th.
I should be getting close if I'm on the same time line as the masses but not many people divulge the method of their document delivery.

The Problem
I clicked the veteran button but now I'm worried that I should have sent in my DD214. At the very least to get the discount, but now I'm affraid they need it for the background check. It didn't say I needed it anywhere. Now I'm reading that people aren't getting notified for additional docs.
My wife and mother had all the same instructor certification issues and my mother never got a letter. She had to call to find out. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Congratulations to all of the recent recipients!

It sure looks like a lot more people are getting their plastic lately. It is getting hard to give individual congratulations. I guess the extra people they added are making a difference. Maybe soon there won't be much need for a waiting room.

Looks like more people getting plastic than new timelines added. That's a good sign!

well according to what I found out from a supervisor, anything submitted in 2016 will take 90 to 120 days now and the 60 days time frame is out the window.

Well since my recent status change I ordered my new holster and a gun belt, I'm sure it will be one of many... I went with the 5.11 Tactical Operator belt and the Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0, I think this will make for a good starter setup. Got to check the mail today since they said my license was mailed on the 29th and my status changed on the 5th,,, Wish me luck!

Checked the mail and guess what I found?!!! Plastic in hand!!! This is my final check in... It was fun and interesting last 9 weeks.
