Yes, he noted that connections between the Trump campaign and Russians have been under investigation since last July. This could have been communicated privately to the committee but should not have been made public until the investigation was complete, IMHO.
Well, I don't think it comes as a big surprise to anyone that they have been looking into Russia ties with both Presidential Candidates. I think that's just SOP these days and will likely be the same in 2020. What is surprising is the laid back attitude investigating leaks. He admitted its a felony to leak classified information yet when Gowdy asked him if he will investigate the leaks, he said, "Can't". Meaning, can't assure the committee that the leaks will be investigated. It's a diversion game and sooner or later, he won't be able to dodge the real issues.

Today President Trump will be signing the NASA Transition Authorization Act of 2017.
Interesting that a bill would be required to switch NASA's mission from climate change research and helping Muslims have a better self image to space exploration.

Members of the Donald Trump transition team, possibly including Trump himself, were under surveillance during the Obama administration following November's election, House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes told reporters Wednesday.
Incidental, and legal, of course.

Space exploration is waste of money and time:
NSA should have the following priorities
1) Explore and Defense Against Asteroids
2) Weather Forecasting and Monitoring (NOAA)
3) Keep the access to the space assured to US
4) Protect the Space Assets
5) Keep, maintain the and enhance the space Assets

Whom they contacted were under surveillance. And under the Patriot act, if you were the dragged by the net, why are you swimming with those who are in the net?

We're all in the NSA surveillance net regardless of who we are swimming with. Just a request away from some agency having everything on you.

And proof that Trump was correct in stating that he was surveilled by folks working for Obama. Although it is interesting to watch the dems and their media allies playing semantics on the distinction between wire tapping and surveillance. The end result is the same regardless of the label used.
As for legality, yes the basic wire tapping / surveillance may have been legal, but the release of names of US person's caught on these wire taps, including Gen. Flynn, was definitely illegal. So I think it is a bit disingenuous to say that these activities were "legal, of course". Part of what happened was legal, part was illegal.

Just because they are in the net doesn't mean something nefarious was going on. Releasing the information from such incidental eavesdropping is definitely illegal.

Republicans delay healthcare vote as rebels defy Trump
Conservatives are pressing to eliminate more of the government requirements embedded in Obamacare, but any concessions to them risk alienating moderate Republicans worried about people losing health insurance.
Barack Obama also weighed in on the proposed legislation, one of the few moments that the former president has commented on current political events since leaving office.

They should just simply REPEAL Obamacare and let the free market take over! We do not need a another government designed and poorly implemented entitlement!

It has never been the job of the Federal government to provide health care or healthcare insurance.
