I also ripped off an e-mail, but added the "Defense Free Zone" verbage.

Do not waste your money in grapevine.
Come to the Getto mall in Irving.
There are no 30.06 signs here, and you will need a gun !!!
Peace !
You Got That Right!

Yeah, it's definitly a lively mall. Check out this news from a few weeks back on the jewelry store related incident:

I can kind of understand that. I mean if my ring was not ready I would too follow the guy home and beat and rob the guy.
That is the Irving way...
Really that is really sad. Goes to show, employees that work with the general public should carry.
You would be amazed what I see at the mall. Two months ago I went to Sears to buy some tools. I decide to see what was playing at the movies and on the way out of Sears I saw 4 hispanic boys around 14 years old walking tall and ready for a fight.
Two had hand guns in their pockets. Did not know if they were real or not but I decided to leave the mall.

OK, So, why didn't you go to the IPD storefront and report them? It's right there between Sears and the movie theatre.

I was waiting for someone to show me my wrong.
1. IPD store - closed like always.
2. Told a Sears Employee and she laughed and said ,"WHAT NEW" and walked off.
What are they going to do. Shut all the the doors and search everybody. Please the number of kids that carry in the mall, come on...
I know I should have gotten on my phone and dial 911 and follow them around and told the police everything.
Or better yet left them a description.
4 hispanic males between the age of 14 - 18, wearing white t-shift, baggy pants and gold chains. Oh yes and the grills they had in their mouths.
Hmm that is about 98% of the people there.
Only thing I would have done is provoke an event. Nobody cares in that mall because it is expected.

I quit going to Irving Mall after it became a sport for the little thugs to try and make people move for them as they walked a straight line up and down the mall. If you were in their path, they purposely bumped into you.
While I've willingly been their Huckleberry on many occasions, my wife's well-being if I happened to get tied up with 3 or 4 of the little heathens won out and we've not been back there in years.

This happens in just about every public place I go to.
In fact, this kind of setup is perfect for pickpockets; getting someone to bump into you, when one of their accomplices grabs your wallet as soon as you jar into his friend.

I had a chicken dance with one of these types.
They had the sidewalk blocked and I glared at him and he moved. We went inside.
A little later the little rooster comes inside and walks around looking for us doing his "recon".
I got up and got into his six and got within two feet of him and followed HIM around.
When he finally saw me he filled his pants and left taking his buddies with him.
The sidewalk was clear when we left.

Now that's turning the tables on them!
Nothing gets under my skin quicker than one of those no-respectin' little pipsqueaks trying to intimidate an older, much larger person - apparently just for kicks. Aaaahhhh!
(OK, deep breath...calm down, hi-power).
Getting back to the topic, my wife just emailed me to see if I wanted to go walking around Grapevine Mills for exercise tonight after work since one lap around is exactly a mile, (or close enough). I'm going to tell her I'll walk around the outside, but not going in. That should earn me one of these:

yeah, even though they strip search you at the door, make you unload everything you own, just to walk fifty feet thataway
I get what you're saying, but going to the range is a little absurd.
