A shoulder carry rig is not that much different than a cross draw from the hip. Strong side IWB or OWB is safest manner to CCW. IMHO.

slightly infront of the seam down the side of the pants.


but with a slight forward cant to raise the rear of the grip IWB is what I do, roughly 3:00

...don't "don't" fat old men who've been doing the thing 40 years...fast is NOT nearly as important as younguns think it is...I've found a headstart to be much better...din't you nebber watch Barnaby Jones or Cannon???

Cannon didn't need a gun. He'd just hit 'em with his belly. :smilelol5:

I carry at 4:00 with a forward cant in my own custom made holster.

Just as another option, if your looking for a hybrid holster, with a 2 day turnaround and <70 dollar price tag, check out Theiss Holsters. He made me a hybrid horsehide for 45 bucks, and a week turnaround time. Granted, I asked him to make it with some of his blemished horsehide, and there is one tiny dime sized discoloration. It goes IWB, so I could care less. I pack with a smile everyday.
