my issue is what happened in my class. The instructor spent an 2 hours going over the correct answers to the test rather then going over laws and how you should handle different situations. Then we had people in my class who had never handled a gun EVER. one lady in our class who never shot a gun; brought one she had just bought right before the class and then couldnt figure out how to use it.the instructor had to stand next to her the entire range time baby sitting her.I dont think you should be able to rent a gun to take the class either. you should be required to bring your own and no sharing either.

I lent one of my guns to someone else taking the class when I was first licensed. He had unknowingly brought a revolver, so I lent him a semi-auto and gave him ammunition so his license wouldn't be restricted.

IMO, once we pass the 4-hour class change, if you already passed the 10 hour class, you should automatically be granted an unrestricted license to carry in "prohibited places" such as schools and bars (as long as you're not drinking, of course).
I'm convinced that if they allowed CC in Newtown schools, this tragedy would have been reduced or possibly avoided entirely.
I've been whispering in the ears of the local ISD for a few years and sent them a reminder over the weekend that Harold ISD is the right example.
Gentle pressure. Facts not emotion.
