Yes, but she calls for gun control every time there is a dead bird in the road.

texanjoker wrote:CNN which I never read, but due to the quotes above, is speculating if he even had an ar15.... They said he had a shot gun.
What we know: Federal law enforcement sources say authorities have recovered three weapons from the scene of the mass shooting, including one -- a shotgun -- that investigators believe he brought in to the compound. The other two weapons -- handguns -- the sources say, may have been taken from guards.
What we don't know: The sources, who have detailed knowledge of the investigation, cautioned that initial investigation information that an AR-15 rifle was used may have been incorrect. It is believed that Alexis had rented an AR-15, but returned it before Monday morning's shootings. Authorities are still investigating precisely how many weapons Alexis had access to and when.

And just above the quote you posted was this:
SECURITY AT THE YARD

What we know: Alexis drove onto the grounds of Navy Yard on Monday morning with three weapons in his vehicle. He took the weapons out, proceeded into Building 197 and opened fire. He had access to the Navy Yard because of his contracting work, and he used a valid pass to gain entry.
Kind of contradictory on CNN's part isn't it?

Yes, but she calls for gun control every time there is a dead bird in the road.
And the result... Panic Buying and ammo shortages. Will it occur again?!...

Kinda, yeah. I've seen some places with 9mm JHP ammo that was both in stock and reasonably priced. Still nothing on bulk practice ammo, though.

1PM News conference. "No evidence an AR-15 was used" Shotgun bought legally in VA. I'll await the certain retractions from Feinstein and Morgan .

I wonder if we will ever see the security camera video footage. 1 Shotgun and 12 dead? And, Mr. VP says buy shotgun!, buy shotgun!

Scary...

After a nun in with 3 people in an area airport Aug. 7, the shooter told police they were following him and he believed he "had a chip in his head."

http://newport.patch.com/groups/police- ... -in-august" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

More in another story...
In August, Newport, R.I., police were called to a Marriott Hotel room where Alexis said he was being followed by three people and heard voices coming from his closet. He couldn't sleep because he thought they were using a microwave machine to send vibrations through the ceiling, the police report says

Wouldn't you consider some action if you encountered someone with these symptoms?

Ah, but the report made sure to state it was a "law-enforcement" style shotgun. This must make it far more lethal than any other type of shotgun. So the band wagon will continue.

Of course they say "he may" have gained access to another weapon once inside.... IF so that would have been a LEO/or MP weapon and obviously not legally obtained by the wacko in washington :smash:

Well, they said at the latest press briefing that investigators found no evidence that an AR-15 was "used" regardless of how he might have acquired one.

I think "law-enforcement style" refers to it's color when used in the media.
We need some AR-15s with lots of wood trim.

My anti gunners are of course having a field day. They can't let the AR 15 thing down though. Apparently it is being reported he tried to buy a AR-15 in Virginia, but was turned down, because of their strict gun laws. He was out of state. They are also talking about the fact that the shot gun broke down and he used buck shot. (the shotgun equivalent to hollow point) I guess buck shot will be outlawed because of this.

On the other, side a right wing blog is reporting that Marines have reported that they could have stopped the shooter after three rounds, if they were only allowed to have ammunition for their weapons.

Saw this morning that ABC has changed their animated version of the shooting to now show Alexis with a shotgun and no mention of any other guns.
