I would say yes, if more info is needed say like verification of DD-214 from military discharge could cause delays.

Updated to mailed today, wife's is manufacture pending so hers will mail out monday

I would say no, once a reviewer has your file starts to process it your status will be updated. The review of your background check may take longer than some.

Worded that wrong in saying delays, it just might take some more time to verify certain extra information for folks who have extra things such as non residency or military, things of that nature. Watched a news clip that stated the most common cause of delays was missing info from the applicant; such as signatures, employment history, and residency history.

Mailed all my stuff in April 29th. Still no email confirmation, still says waiting to receive documents on the CHL website.

Tried checking last night and the site was under maint, check again this morning and it was updated.

Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

Wow, so this is the second one lately that looks like it will be right at the 30 day mark from document uploading.

2-01-14 took class
2-20-14 payed application fees
3-01-14 had fingerprints done (FAST)
4-10-14 emailed everything
4-11-14 received email stating they forwarded to chl specialist

5-03-14 sent email asking if everything was ok (still no response)
5-13-14 called and waited on hold for an hour before i had to hang up
5-16-14 emailed again no response yet either

i didn't realize the backlog was this bad i was reading about peoples turn around being 20-30 days im guessing those were old...

this waiting game is hard.

Said mailed as of May 17th but no dice in the mail today. Guess the mail room has a back log too.

Probably didn't actually get into USPS hands until yesterday.

So probably won't get it until Thursday or Friday
