She was an earlier invited guest. These are (were) uninvited speakers...they took a break from that when the invited chancellors showed up.

Charles said he wasn't going to offer testimony as they all know what he would say, therefore it would be a waste of time...lol. He's prolly right.

Sounds like Campus Carry is a done deal, at least in the Senate. The chancellors are (very reasonably) asking for consideration for extenuating circumstances such as situations that might run afoul of Federally funded programs, etc.
I don't buy making daycare off limits, but the "asks" seem at least reasonable so far.

I can't believe Birdwell, Estes, or any of the other "pro" Senators haven't asked about daycare problems to date...shooting that one right out of the water and making it a non-issue.

Did I hear correctly that my Arlington police chief endorsed the open carry bill? I had to step out of the room and missed it.

He was neither for nor against, just wanted some concessions added.

It sounded like he wasn't opposed to licensed to open carry at least he didn't make a good case against it.

Haha, Cory Watkins is sitting next to a MDA chick.
I can't imagine what's going through his head.
