I made some updates to my new 590A1 (and my G17 too)

For the Shotgun — XS Systems Ghost Ring rear on rail, with Trijicon Big Dot front, and Elite Tactical Advantage tactical safety (thanks Pawpaw):

For the Glock 17 — a set of Trijicon HD tritium sights:

I love it when my gunsmith son comes over and wants to pass the time with me.

I've shot the 887 nitro mag and it is very nice. as far as i can tell it will be as reliable and tough as the 870 but we'll have to see in a trial by fire. i still would never give up the 870.

870. I didn't like the looks of the 887. Too close to the look of a Benelli Nova.

870 here as well. Mine has proven itself remarkably versatile. I can change it from a duck/bird hunting gun (28" smooth bore barrel) to a 100 yd deer gun (24" fully rifled slug barrel) in 2 minutes or so. It's hard to beat the number of accessories and options you have with it (similar options with a Mossberg 500). The smooth barrels have the standard bead sights, the slug barrel has a low power scope.

Mine will soon be wearing a 18½" HD barrel. Again, love it's versatility

When I speak of no sights I am speaking of a HD shotgun not a combat shotgun.
