I managed to miss this thread so I am glad it popped back up. I recently found myself so into the habit of using "no worries," I irritated myself! :banghead:

Years ago when our daughter was maybe 13 or 14, we were bickering about something when out of the blue she stuck her hand up, palm out, and said "talk to the hand cause the head ain't listening". My reaction, :shock: , followed by :mad5 :mad5 . Needless to say, she never did that again. She also used to say 'my bad' all the time. I'd just ask her if they still taught English in school.

I had no idea the phrase was this irritating to some. I picked it up when I was in Australia back in '85.
