Not so surprising - we're the 3rd largest city in the US. Adjusted for population size we're only the 8th.[Houston 3rd in nation with road rage gun incidents.

Man arrested in the shooting of a security guard 11 times at the San Luis Resort in Galveston. The guard is alive but in very bad shape. Our prayers for him for a full recovery. Arrested man is believed to be part of the gorilla gang.
