that's a good woman you have there .Kevinf2349 wrote: My wife has taken to stopping by Acadmey when she is in the general area to try and get ammo.
BriN wrote:So, for those of you who are curious about whether bugging DPS and your state reps helps, I have a little anecdotal evidence. We ran a little experiment in my house since I was very anxious for my license and my wife was interested but not quite as obsessed. As soon as I hit day 60, I was all over it. I called DPS every 10 days or so, I emailed and called my state rep and state senator on many occasions. I bugged the crap out of them. I received my "Active" notification on Day 143 (Harris County).
We made no contacts on my wife's whatsoever. She had no issues with the paperwork just as I didn't as she only had checks in Harris County just as I did.
The only difference was that I was an early February application and she was early March. She received her "active" notice on Day 179.
So, while perhaps it should be taken with a barrel of salt, in our situation, bugging them allowed me to get it a month faster than she got hers.
Fantastic Jim! Super congrats! Gee, doesn't that rate at least a "hot diggity dog"?Jim Lockey wrote:Application completed - license issued or cirtificate active (May group)
