My CHL has been approved and it is day 60. The mail man had better burn a path to my door this week! I'm ready for my Wally walk!

Thanks, Linda. Sometime after the first of the year I am going to get over to Roanoke and take your Utah CHL class.

After they've had my application for 30 days, they now are saying it was incomplete because I didn't sign the "web form", which I guess is the online application itself? How long should I expect to wait after sending back the signed form? Another 60 days? Sheesh!

60 days, on the nose.
Change of address about a year later took much less--just about 30 days.

I mailed my packet to Austin October 02.2006. Allowing three days for mail service (from Denton) I called DPS on December 04 (63 days) They said my fingerprints had been rejected by the FBI and they would mail me a letter to that effect. I wonder how long they would have watied to tell me this if I had not called. I called again December 20 (16 days later) they said they mailed a letter on Dec 04 and that it was returned by PO marked "unable to find addressee". The letter had my correct address! I was told they would resend the letter and it would have instructions how to send the fingerprints electronically. Anyone familiar with how to send electronic fingerprints?

Wow, dentonbill, sorry to hear about that delay. Here's a link to the Identix Website that may help:
http://www.identix.com/IIS/. And there's more information at the DPS's CHL Website:
http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/administra ... sindex.htm.
Good luck!

Denton Bill, they do not send the prints electronically. This cost me about 3 additional weeks. The Identix tech will give hard copies of your prints. 2 of them.
My Identix guy thought he'd sent them electronically when he sent a file via the net to the Identix main office, however Austin has no way to receive prints electronically. So I sent only one copy of prints to Austin thinking they'd received the 2nd set electronically. Oy Vey!!!
Waiting time for license. 81 days from the day they received my original packet.

Since you have called, it will probably be finished soon. I'm convinced there is something to the "squeaky wheel" adage when it comes to CHL processing.
Welcome to TexasCHLforum, we appreciate you joining. (I know, I sent a PM welcoming you.)
