my understanding is that they will cash your check and then they will send you your pin number and start processing your application.

Where did you take your class at down here in league city?

I took my class off of Witte Rd. at the Memorial Shooting Center in Houston. I heard good things about the place so if figured if I was going to be there all day it would be worth the drive.

Been reading this forum on and off for a week or so, just registered. Tons of great info here, I like it!

Sent my packet on 01/11/2010, received 01/13/2010, "Processing Application" on 01/20/2010. Four business days to start processing was a pleasant suprise! I check the DPS page a few times a day. Makes you wonder if there is a tracker in the system to amuse DPS employees, haha. Ah, hurry up and wait!!!

Joe, thanks! That is an '03 with Belgian proof marks. I have another '03 that I plan on carrying occasionally when I don't carry a .45. I'm also on the lookout for an '08 .380.

Congrats guys!!! I sent mine on the same day... still processing. Now that they are done with yours maybe they can get to mine!!!!!!
