I had a great time as well!!! I had to leave after the third round as GuessRight(my ride) had some business to tend to!! I enjoyed meeting everyone and look forward to the next Skeet shoot.

We just got home, having left after the remaining group had completed about halfnof a fourth round. We had a great time too. Unfortunately for me, my back callednit quits after round three. But it started out as a cool and cloudy morning, with a warm, sunny, and breezy afternoon.

As always, the fellowship was superb. My wife enjoyed shooting her new O/U gun, but the action was a bit stiff and she had trouble getting it to open and close. I think it will loosen up eventually. My own shooting was no better than the last time we went, but standing for long periods was really getting to my back, and it was harder to swing the barrel because of it.

I did get some pictures of round three and part of round four, and I'll post them later. This new camera has so many options, and I was just learning how to use it, so I'm afraid that none of the shots will be spectacular, but we'll see.

I left after two rounds, but I think the experienced folks were partway through their third by then. Andy C. was a prince, patiently explaining the ropes to us, pointing out what we were doing wrong and encouraging us to do better. He should get a medal for that. It's been it's been more than 20 years since I last fired a shotgun, and the rust was definitely showing.

I am definitely looking forward to the next one. It is great putting faces with the names and getting to meet like-minded people.

We had an awesome time and Andy was very helpful with the advise for us newbies to skeet and I was glad to put some faces to names.

I was out shot by my son :grumble , but he's young and better reflexes. I am am very proud of him. Even using the "riot gun" we had some good shots.

Next time maybe the wife and other son will come out too.

Umm...I think you are being modest. You did quite well, in my opinion.

I like to add my thanks to Andy, too. He has the patience of job. I very much appreciate your guidance, Andy and will work on some of your suggestions. I hope that I can do better next time.

I was also glad to meet so many personally. It is great to be able to put a face and a name with a forum handle.
Hitching a ride with geekwagun and his son gave us a chance to get acquainted and share stories. I'm always amazed that the things that people from this forum have in common besides guns. I very much appreciated your hospitality and the fact that I didn't have drive.

It was great to see such a crowd. I'll be looking forward to the next outing. I might even sneak down on my own and do a little practicing between now and then.

This go-round was just as much fun as the original. I know that I enjoyed myself thoroughly once again, and I'm already looking forward to the next time.

Thanks to all who provided advice and expertise, and thanks for the camaraderie.

I haven't downloaded any of the pictures I took to my computer yet, but I was just now scanning through them on the camera, and I found an excellent one of Andy on station 7, having just smoked a clay a millisecond before. I'll try to have these uploaded some time tonight.

Welcome to our little corner of the net, bulletslap. It was a pleasure meeting and shooting with you. The post-shooting story swap was also a blast.

You know, I've seen pics of myself shooting sporting clays but I don't recall a single pic of me actually shooting skeet, so I hope it's not selfish to say that I'm really interested to see that - and all the others, too.
I meant to get it done last night, but I was worn out and fell asleep. I'll get it done today.

OK, here are the pictures. I took a bunch more, but that was just because I was using the speed shutter feature, so a lot of them are redundant. I tried to filter out the best ones for posting. So, purely in alphabetical order by file name, here they are....
