Mine is exactly like yours...and still NO plastic

I live in Austin, so it's frustrating. I sure hope by Sat--as 3/10 was when mine went 'mailed' and still a no show.

Yep I know Some one else just posted a 3/10 'mailed' 3/12 postmark and received today.

Like a little kid running to mailbox daily after 'mailed'...just bills, no CHL

I'm getting pretty frustrated. I did my online app and fingerprints prior to chl class. Took the class feb 3rd with mom and gf. They both did apps on the 5th. Gf did her fingerprints the following week, mom did hers later that week. I was first to update and go to bg check. Betty just completed bg check, mom is still waiting too. My gf is rubbing it in every chance she gets. Saying she'll protect me. Haha

It's honestly nice to just make it past the first step and get status that they have all your docs

Coming up on 2 weeks in background and a week on the holster order. With three more weeks left on my Tucker, I am guessing my plastic will arrive at about the same time.

Received plastic at 11:30 am today (after Sunday 'mailed') and loaded up Sig 229 .40 and off to Academy. Would not be complete without buying a new hand gun with my new license. They just got a Beretta Nano in, so why not. Add it to the collection.

This is my issue I emailed my documents on February the 9th within days of both of you and I still have yet had a update. When I spoke them the a week ago they had me fax my information in just be safe if my documents had not been received. I called in the morning to find out they still do not know if they received my email and if it had been received it would get deleted right after they downloaded the documents. After speaking with the level 2 personal, which are the ones that enter in our information, told me that they have no way of looking for my files because they have over 12,000 apps to enter. Now it looks like I got pushed back to 3/13 when I faxed my documents over since they can not find my info, and everyone else that sent theirs in around my time are already going through background checks. This is just getting frustrating I just want a update showing my app is being processed

Applied (first renewal) on-line Feb. 7. Mailed CHL-100, etc. to Austin on February 21 (USPS Priority Mail) which was delivered February 23. Took a few weeks for DPS to reflect this delivery via my on-line status. Sometime in the last 48 hours it advanced to "Manufacturing Pending". So maybe I'll get my new license by my birthday -- cut it much too close, but had difficulty getting a class scheduled.

****Edited to reflect that I received renewal plastic Wed. March 27. The "Mailing" status was up there for three days. Seems a little slow in getting a letter from 90 miles away.

finally something redeeming about this entire process. It took exactly 1 month to show up in the system at BG check stage, but only took 1 day for the BG check and is now in manufacturing status. Im positive my previous military experience has something to do with that considering how long it usually seems to take with the BG check.

someone mentioned they called and talked to someone.. Every time I have ever called I have never made it through... and it cancels the call automatically...

Anyone have a number? My BG check has been "under review" with my Fingerprints for going on 3 weeks now...

I've been told before that having a TWIC card was the reason I was always delayed when purchasing a gun..


Any thoughts? Any phone number that works?

Can expect 3-5 weeks on fingerprints--easy. So hang in there.
