Wodathunkit wrote:There was an article floating around a couple of weeks ago that was a "State of the Union" for the firearm industry. The article stated that bullet mfg's were making about a billion bullets a week! With almost all ramping up to round the clock production. The problem being that John Q. Public is third in line behind the military, and law enforcement. They said it would be 9 months before inventories retuned to pre-panic levels.
This is exactly why I started stocking up almost a year before the election. I saw this was going to happen. Memories are short, but it happened in 2008 too, and it took nearly a whole year for the prices to recover. The people who are complaining about prices today could have averted the situation for themselves by anticipating that this was going to happen. It was the
same guy's potential for election that drove up prices the last time. Back then, I was assembling a home-built AR carbine. Almost overnight, the price of a lower end barreled M4 upper went from about $350 to about $500......if you could get one. Ammunition in tactical rifle and self-defense pistol calibers got REAL scarce and shot up in price.
THIS time it is worse because of the proposed AWB. Anyone with a modicum of perspicacity KNEW that an AWB bill would be forthcoming during a 2nd Obama term. Democrats who said that Obama doesn't want to take your guns were lying, plain and simple. If they weren't lying, then they were terminally stupid. Sandy Hook merely provided an early impetus for such a push. If it hadn't been Sandy Hook, it would have been something else.......just like the enemies of freedom tried to use the Zimmerman/Martin case to take down Stand Your Ground laws. That case was just another self-defense killing. There was nothing remarkable about it....except that race-baiters who don't give a popcorn fart for the fact that 99% of black murder victims are killed by other black people decided that THIS one was a big deal because it was an extremely rare case of a white man killing a black man in self-defense. The people who try and take away gun rights and limit the right to self-defense don't really care about the dead. They merely capitalize on those deaths to promote their assault on freedom.
It was absolutely predictable that this was going to happen. The next time democrats get another president elected after Obama leaves office, it will happen
again. That is what democrats
do. They can't stand the idea of a populace armed to resist their commie plans. See my signature line if you don't understand this. When they tell you they don't want to take your guns, they are lying. They cannot be trusted with the protection of the 2nd Amendment. In any case, it was predictable. Between now and 2016, prices will come down (although probably not to pre-Obama levels), and availability will go up. If you're smart, you'll devote some of your ammo money to making sure you have a basic stock on hand which you have to exercise the discipline not to use recreationally. This is your "Wolverines" ammo. Once you've got that figured out, THEN stock up on recreational ammo. If the next election looks like it is going to be close, buy more ammo THEN instead of waiting until there isn't any left and complaining about the prices and gouging.

I think that concern went out the window a while back.
I like my bacon wrapped around a nice steak. And don't even think about cutting off that fat. That's the best part.

I notice that all Your responses to my posting of PRICE GOUGING Concerning ARMS and Munitions were related Only to USA Companies.
Since I am only a Junior Member with limited knowledge. I did notice My Thread and Comments from Senior members on a Google Search and started to read other sites comments.
But Correct me if I am wrong.
Since I believe the USA Market of Arms and Munitions is being Controlled for Creating a Higher Priced Product (s) not only now but on the futures markets. And the proof is no ammunition on the shelves and higher priced arms.
And the excuses in replies well I just don't buy that,
but say I do.
All the USA Arms and Manufacturing Plants are so overwhelmed, ***********************
Then where is all the Munitions and Arms from South America, Europe, England, Russia, the Middle East, the Far East, the Mediterranean, Africa.
But then I am only a Junior Member.

I have not been able to back it up, but I have been told there are ship off shore that are not being given permission to dock. The cargo? You guessed it. Ammo , guns and magazines...
I'm not one to start rumours you know, and to be clear I'm not starting this one. Just passing it on.

Ok..ok. Seriously. I heard they are also refusing to sell to law enforcement so we don't all figure out the scam.
