I know Texas feels like another country but we lost that war.
No, we won that war. Otherwise this would be Mexico.

Based on his comment I think he's talking about the War for Southern Independence, Not the Mexican American war.

Oh, you folks must be speaking about the War of Northern Aggression. Some of us have not accepted the outcome of that atrocity against the south. :tiphat: That book is yet to be closed. The likes of the present administration is hopefully going to re-ignite the spirit that once was prevalent amongst the citizens of the great nation of Texas.:txflag:

The case touches on a string of issues that strike deeply in India, where the fear of public humiliation resonates strongly and heavy-handed treatment by the police is normally reserved for the poor. For an educated, middle-class woman to face public arrest and a strip search is almost unimaginable
Welcome to equal rights. :tiphat:

A major point here is that the "victim" wasnt even under arrest, and yet was detained for several hours while being tortured.....revolting in every sense of the word.

Police get this one correct.

I may get in trouble for posting this one, since it is very vulgar, however it is about concealed handguns. So click at your own risk.

This involves the, I assume, former wife of Cormac McCarthy one of my favorite writers and her recent arrest. She got in an argument with her boyfriend about space aliens.

Ya but they only used x-rays, not all those other vile, invasive, and repetitive means.

Also, it sounds like the x-ray was related to medical treatment by healthcare professionals following his motor vehicle crash, and the booty was discovered incidentally. He was not repeatedly probed and prodded to satisfy the sick fantasies of apparent sociopaths.

$1.6 million settlement. I guess clinching in NM doesn't warrant what the cops did after all.

And his attorney will get about 33%.
I'm in at the 3M mark... below that, not worth it.
I'm shocked at the medical community though... I think that's worth a separate suit or two..

And that settlement wasn't from all of the defendants - there's more to come out of this, and rightly so!

How many wanna bet the physician winds up paying relatively more than did the city of Deming and the county (the $1.6 mil)?
