I saw that back when he said it and almost threw up. That guy has to be king of the virtue signalers.

I'm torn. I'm not sure if I want Trump to nominate Rand Paul first, so his real choice from the list will sail through, or if I want him to put up his preferred Justice first and start a rumor that he'll nominate Ted Cruz if they don't confirm his first choice.

I think Ted Cruz would have much more impact as SC Justice than a senator.

Likely true and I didn't realize he's under 50. Would Cruz be able to vote for his own confirmation?

I do think a female nominee is more likely, though. It shouldn't matter, but it does to the Ds. That could make a difference especially for D Senators up for reelection in a red or reddish State.
