"Give It Up For" - This particular vulgarism is stated when the M.C. or a comedian entreats the audience for applause for the upcoming speaker, comedian, singer, etc.
I cringe every time I hear someone utter this bit of raunchiness.

Meme - A word talking heads just love...
It's almost as obnoxious as the overuse of the word "Paradigm".
"In terms of..." another favorite of talking heads.

The word basically, and like are very common when it comes to misuse. Think this came from one of the California lingo's. Basically, I think it's like, kinda groovy like basically.

"I want to pick your brain."
This odious bit of word flotsam screams of condescension.
Ugh!

I had a salesman once that would call someone on the phone, and the first words he would say was something along the lines of, "I'm calling you on the phone to talk about...." Um, they know you're calling on the phone because they either answered it, or they are checking their messages. Maybe he thought he was Maxwell Smart, and at other times said, "I'm calling you on my shoe to talk about..."

Hormone Derange". To wit:
O gummier hum warder buffer-lore rum
Enter dare enter envelopes ply,
Ware soiled'em assured adage cur-itching ward
An disguise earn it clotty oil die.
Harm, hormone derange,
Warder dare enter envelopes ply,
Ware soiled'em assured adage cur-itching ward
An disguise earn it clotty oil die.
As a young child I often wondered in music class what was so discouraging about "seldom." It was a mystery. Why would "seldom" so remarkably be heard, and why would the word be discouraging?
I imagined depressed cowpokes moping along the old top rail, one and then the other dredging up the energy to make sure that poisonous word was heard.
"Seldom, Clem."
"Yeah, I know, Slim. Seldom. It's discouraging."
"Why do we keep saying seldom, Clem?"
"Well, Slim, this is home, it's on the range, and this is where 'seldom' is heard. Hurts, don't it?"
Oh, well, I guess it's just part of Texas.
Seldom.
Dadgummit, seldom.

For me it's the strange way people say certain words....mostly women I hear doing it. They didn't used to, and why they do now I don't know.
Instead of saying "two" or "too," they say "tew-wuh." Or "thank yew-wah." It's no longer "Cool" or "school" but it's "cew-wool" or "skew-wool." Mix into this the use of the word "like" every 3-4 words, and say it through your nose and drag out the last syllable of the last word....arrrgggh!

Countryside,
That's how yankees tor-cah!
I dislike hearing only one syllable with poly syllabic words.
Example: No "prob".
Really, is it that much extra effort to say "problem"
There are a number of other examples, like diss rather than disrespect, or hood, rather than neighborhood.
I suppose the individuals who speak lazily think it makes them so unique, when in fact they sound like the unwashed uneducated.

I mentioned this once in the past, but it seems no one "dies" anymore.
They "pass".
Kinda like being in school rather than being dead.
Oops, can't say "dead" anymore either, waaaaaaay to close to reality.
Rest In Peace is another silly saying.
When "dead" you ain't resting, you're slowing decaying with nary a chance of getting up and walking around.
