6/20/16 - RSD Confirmation that Document was Received
**And here I checked it on Monday/Tuesday and then got busy and forgot about it**
6/26/16 - Checked Texas.Gov and it shows Everything complete (in Green) and Print Pending.
6/29/16 - Status Change to Mailed and have options to change address.

So ten days since I did the initial application and payment, and now all I'm waiting for is print. Background is done.
**UPDATE** 14 Days from application to mailing. Will be stalking the mailman today.

Might not be the status change that I'm supposed to see but the website change slightly. Where before I had 1 "License Application Status" paragraph now I have 2 "License Application Status" paragraphs...both with different wording. No green/red bars yet, but any change is good!

Just logged into the TX DPS website and my page looks to have changed now.

I can now see all of the different steps and items needing to be completed.

Couple of things:

Passport Photo Holder (Out of State Only) shows to be "Under Review" for some reason (I have a valid TX DL) and it looks to be old information as it still shows the Classroom training to be "Incomplete, notice sent to applicant." - Resubmitted completed form on 6/20.

Background and LTC are under review (yellow) as well - as to be expected.

I'll give it a few more weeks and check back.

I wrote my state rep Ron Simmons 6/22, received a response from his office via email 6/24. In the response it stated they contacted DPS on my behalf and I should have my LTC finished Monday 6/27. This morning 6/28 I logged in and I'm just pending print !!!!

Got the green bars this morning... woohoo!
7 days after all in and i show fingerprints and background under review.
I pray for approval and print to come soon!

Status Update: 13 business days from start of application to mailed.
Now just waiting on mailman.

Seems that the timeline to get an LTC has greatly decreased from the beginning of the year. Gotta hand it to the DPS on the fast processing (in my case anyway). To all those waiting, I hope your wait is not too much longer.

Stupid question to those of you that have recently received yours... do you get a 2nd email notifying of the "status change" after the initial confirmation email, or do you just religiously check the site over and over?

From what I'm seeing, we just stalk the page 10-200 times a day. I'm more on the 200 end of the spectrum.

Haven't got mine but wanted to comment...who doesn't constantly check theirs 2, 3, 5 times a day??? This can be a topic on its own I think. I personally check 4 times a day and will continue to do so until I get card in hand....just saying

I've got the bookmark saved on my phone, and probably checked it two dozen times throughout the day.

I gave it a week then checked. Saw it was in the works, then gave it a few more days.
Saw it was sent to print, the next day it was mailed.

Its a known fact, the more you check, the longer they take to work on your application...kinda like Big Foot.
