I did say one scrub...he must have came back from vacation and found me in his queue. compared to other folks who got it in 2 weeks it took forever...26 days so far from all in. Compared to everyone else I guess that's not bad.

Hopefully it's in my mailbox when I get home!

Current "CHL" expires on 2016-08-10. Fingers crossed the new LTC arrives before then, or I'll be open carrying my Beretta CX4 Storm .45 carbine in the interim! ;)

New LTC arrived, ransom payment and hoop jumping for the State of Texas to release my hostage second amendment right completed...until 2021 anyway.

Although I've already received my LTC, just want to post here to encourage you to be patient - I tell you to be patient, but I wasn't Anyway, I applied back in Feb. and it took me exactly 70 days to get mine. I hope things have improved since then - I wish you all the best, we need more law-abiding citizens carrying and having the backs of our law enforcement. Good luck to you all.

Well, today is day 30 after my all in submission confirmation on 6/20. I'm the guy that had the issue with them accepting a CHL100 form without the printed instructor name filled in the classroom part. I still check the TX DPS CHL website everyday to see if their computer glitch has cleared up and my page has updated (and maybe once or so on the weekends if I remember).

I've mentioned it before, but since I had to resubmit again they have 180 days, and that just seems like it's forever away. Just have to get everything in order and focus on other things, and re-check at 60 days.

I think my application and one for my friend are hung up on the same desk...Mine has been at background check for a while, and his is there, but also waiting on fingerprint check for a while. I don't have a common name, I have no legal history, nothing exceptional about me in that regard.

Fingerprints and application submitted with class document around June 4... green bars arrived a couple weeks later.

How to you get on the two week cycle?

6-03-16 - website changed to prints and background check under review.

I don't Understand why it is taking this long. I have no Psych issues and Clean BG.

6/21/16: Electronic Fingerprints
7/8/16: Completed class
7/10/16: Submitted everything online
7/11/16: Rec'd confirmation Tx has everything
7/13/16: All statuses are good except Background check (still pending)

today.. Husband receives his LTC.. me.. I'm still on background check review. :(

I sent in a request for my wife's renewal license.
DPS received payment on May 14, 2016.
She still has not received her renewal license as of July 22, 2016.
Nothing has changed since she first received the original license.
The Status page still shows her background check and finger prints are "pending".
Mine took less than six weeks to get back.
In the meantime hers has expired and she's PO'ed.
After 20 plus years of being common law we actually got married.
I read here not to try and change her name while the application is being processed, but to wait until afterwards to change the name.
Could this be a problem, and does anyone know how to fix it?
