It's not just the count. How about the conditions.

Hathcock, Waldron, Mawhinney - all did their jobs well.
If it's shots/kill, think Tom Ferebee

No argument there. We got a little sidetracked though.

It's pretty obvious, after four or five Corona Extras, that Jack Ruby was the second shooter and had to shut Oswald up to protect the mob. Sacrificed himself for The Family. Omerta won. They never did get Ruby spill the rigatoni on what really happened...

The above link is the 2008 obituary of the Dallas cop who bought Jack Ruby
his gun in 1960. It was a .38 Colt Cobra revolver and cost $62.50, after the
$18 police discount. It was bought at Ray Brantley's Hardware Store on
Singleton Boulevard, Dallas.

As of 1990, Ruby's gun was in a bank safe deposit box in North Dallas.

In 1991 the revolver was sold for "about $200,000".

Later the gun was put up for sale again, but I didn't find out the sale price
when it went on the block in Las Vegas, NV.

There's another reason gun control will never work.

I saw something on the History channel a while back with one of Oswald's marine buddies, might have been the same one. He said if Oswald shot Kennedy it couldn't have been murder, he had to be shootin at somebody else, maybe old lady Connally.

I'm no supermarksman but I have shot enough in my 56 years to know that a scope on a bolt action at a moving target does not make it easier. In that situation I would take a open sight any day.

I have watched that film a thousand times. Probably not conclusive but if I had to put money on it I would say it came from the front. I'm doing good to hit a moving target with a 12ga much less a bolt with a scope. If good riflemen couldn't re-create the act it's hard for me to believe that Oswald did. I remember hearing since just days after it happened that Oswald was no sniper. Back then it was established and pretty much agreed on. It was just in recent years that he was made out to be something else.

In the ten years following the JFK assassination, eight different journalists investigating the shooting came up dead in dubious ways.

Quite a case has been made that one of the shots was frontal.

Lee Harvey Oswald lacked the shooting skills for all that is attributed to him.

If there was another shooter, it was purely coincidental and there were two separate assassination plots unknown to each other. Both were there because the location was ideal for the attack.

Any chance Oswald maybe "practiced" in the years between the Marines and the Assassination?
