As the officer walked up I kept my hands on the grips and said "officer, I have a Texas CHL and I am armed" he stepped back (and in an obvious show of superiority) un-snapped his holster. He asked where by weapon was and I told him in a shoulder holster under my left arm. I was wearing a leather vest and all he said was "do not unbutton your vest". He proceeded to give me a warning ticket for my tail-light not being "bright enough". My Harley was less than a month old 2005 Super Glide. I went to the nearest dealer and handed the service manager the warning. He laughed and said that he got about one a week from that same officer. It seems the officer's wife left him for a biker.
You just never can tell.
So did you pay the ticket?
What's to pay when he got a warning?
Yup, see that now on the big screen. Missed that then on the little one.:

Evening all,

Just providing a update. I hired a fantastic attorney and he worked hard to get my weapon released. Now the retaliation against me has immediately begun with the Seargent filing paperwork with the state to have my CHL revoked to which I will continue to fight for my right to legally carry and ride free in this great state. As I stated earlier I have did nothing wrong. This is profiling at the highest level. I am in the final stages of filing a civil rights lawsuit against all involved. Once again thank you all for the advice.

Be Blessed

On what basis are they trying to revoke your CHL?

Belonging to a motorcycle club that they are trying to classify anyone as a criminal who is a part of a MC which is not...not a gang. Once again I don't have a record or so much as a scratch on my background.

Do you belong to a recognized "MC"? Did you have any patches visible that would lead the PD to believe you were?

I'm interested in your case from a purely non partisan perspective. I have friends who ride in clubs and have no association with known outlaw "clubs".

Thanks.

He has used the "lingo" that people use when trying to give the impression they belong to an "outlaw" club but denies it is such, nor will he just state the name of the club. To me it sure seems like he is either trying to give a certain impression or he is in a club, or tributary club, that could very well meet the definition of a "Gang". Heck he won't even confirm or deny that he wears a 3 patch cut. If he is playing the same game with the cops then no wonder he didn't get his gun back.

EElis,

Get off the gas why don't cha. My patch is a 3 piece patch along with every other law enforcement motorcycle club who wears a 3 piece parch but are not profiled as such so it's obviously you know nothing of the mc culture so I won't debate that with you. I don't need to state the name of my club or the name of my job or my full name on a open forum that's irrelevant. I'm simply speaking on the CHL issue and not engage in a motorcycle club debate that's for a different site.

This comment implies you are in a MC that is made up of current and former law enforcement officers. Is that the case? I think some of us are curious to know if you are actually a victim of unscrupulous cops or are just playing one. Some of the things you've said tend to lead me to the latter.

Read the post in detail again,

Definitely not in a LE club the gentleman made reference to a 3 piece patch and it's meaning I my clubs patch is a 3 piece like LE clubs so to wear a 3 piece patch but they are not classified or profiled as law breaking individuals.

You said "like every other". That implies your club is a law enforcement club.

Does your bottom rocker designate a territory or location?

Quick question, If you're wearing a bottom rocker, was it sanctioned and approved by the banditos? If it was, OR your MC is recognized by LEO as an OMC, be prepared to lose your CHL. It appears that you have been targeted as part of an OMC.

The hells angels, Cossacks, and Bandido's all classify themselves as a MC and not a gang but we all know the truth. So what club or gang do you affiliate with?

Also the Blue Knights are the only LEO club I know of.

If you don't want to mention the club by name, you could at least tell us if your club is considered a 1% MC. Do you wear a 1% patch?
