I was recently disappointed to learn, historically, "Tar and Feathers" used pine tar.....simply, relatively painless , cold pine tar :totap:

Maybe painless but not comfortable to be the only thing your wearing in this weather.

Trust me. A lot of pine tar is not painless to get off.

Should Texas amend it's law on faithless voters for a fine or jail time or just vet them better?
I wish Texas would make it law that if any Elector(s) decide to go the Faithless route, first, their vote is disqualified on the spot and they are replaced immediately. It would also be nice if we have maybe a few "backup" Electors waiting on the side line so they could replace that Faithless Elector on the spot as well. Just like they do in court having Alternate Jurors. In addition, mandatory jail time and a steep fine wouldn't hurt my feelings either. I'm just happy and proud of the ones that did their job honorably. Thank you to those Electors.

Either way, congrats my fellow brothers and a big Red Welcome Carpet for President Trump! Thank You!

Ron Paul and John Kasich
I believe the John Kasich vote was Chris Suprun's, because that is who he said he'd vote for back when he got his 15 minutes of fame.

Well despite a few un-Americans here in Texas, who caved under the pressure, it looks, like the left wing movement to sway electors was a dismal failure like all of the other things they tried to do during the last few months.

They have tried every dirty trick possible in this election, which has only furthered the destruction of the demoncratic party. Lame-Scream media has failed them, 'fake news' failed, trying to cheat the votes failed, electoral bribes and intimidation failed, snowflake pansy screaming and crying and rioting and burning flags and personal property failed. It only strengthens the cause of the populist / nationalist Trump presidency, and us deplorables that voted for him!

I also just now heard that Suprun resigned from the Texas GOP after casting his vote.

There will probably be a speaking tour on college campuses to follow, where he'll be a hero, and he can bask in his glory.

Sisneros was the vote for Ron Paul. The other vote was by Suprun for Kasich
Doesn't seem so. Art Sisneros was one of four Texas electors who resigned prior to the vote; he was replaced by Janis Holt. Still seems our Ron Paul voter is a mystery. Not that it matters much right now. But that person should never serve as an elector again. IMHO.

After the vote, Governor Abbott tweeted: "This charade is over. A bill is already filed to make these commitments binding. I look forward to signing it & ending this circus."

He'll become the left's favorite "principled republican".

Democratic operative Suprin resigned from the GOP? Guess he's moving on to his next dishonest endeavor.

Good. The only way to enforce it is to make secret ballots unlawful. There's no reason for a secret vote when you are supposed to be representing the will of the voters.

He's teaming up with Brian Williams and Hillary Clinton to do a speaking tour so they can address all of the dishonesty in the media these days. :biggrinjester:

ETA: That way they will have a bonafide 911 responder to help out just in case Hillary's sniper shoots down Brian's chopper.

:iagree: I can understand the need for secret balloting in certain, limited circumstances; the state electoral vote should not be one.
