But the other Eastern-bloc countries aren't, so they can fill the gap.

Yeah, I doubt he did that on his own thought, probably one of his little lackeys came up with that one.

Hope the sellers and importers sue him. He hasn't got legitimate authority/reason for that action.

Bad thing is that steel case is about to go up in price that is already here. I’m sure there is plenty on its way from over there but it better get here quick. I don’t like panic buying ammo but I am afraid we are going to see another small wave of it and it’s going to be a run taken on all the steel case.

I pretty much banned Russian ammo years ago. Just saying.

Biden lifts sanctions on the Russian oil pipeline, but imposes sanctions on ammo. Makes sense if you have a different motive.

Exactly. The very minute I first heard about this, I immediately went to bulkammo.com and bought another 480 rounds of Serbian Belom 7.62x39. I’m not "ammo rich" in 7.62x39 the way I am with 5.56x45 or 9mm, but that gives me about 1400 rounds for my AK, +/- 50-100 rounds.

I bought dies, cases and a bullet mold ;)
