If our current government thought they could get away with it then yea. I think it’s possible they would try.

They are trying.

They're already stifling speech so it can't be heard or even expressed in many environments.

There are already calls for criminalizing speech that doesn't conform to the globalist narrative.

Actual criminalization is just one more small step that I expect to see very soon.
