Large number of musicians have condemned the song.

I wondered what the hubbub was about so I looked it up.

After reading Breitbart and seeing the video I think I understand. Jason Aldean is combating left wing terrorism especially with regards to rioting and the leftist terrorists can't have American's feel safe. No they want us in fear of them and are working to shut that video down.

I downloaded the official music video just in case it gets deleted from YouTube and other venues, as well. It was a topic of conversation today on Fox News' The Five. The song and video were released last May, and suddenly it has the left's panties all twisted.

Aldean has responded that there isn't one word in the song implying racism or inciting violence. He said his message was that if neighbors--all neighbors regardless of color, creed, or beliefs--truly cared about and looked after one another, the mob violence big cities have seen simply wouldn't happen. He's got a point.

There is that one word in there that isn't strictly conformant to forum guidelines, so if I'm overstepping will a moderator please either remove the link or delete this post? But I think the forum violation is pretty minimal, and given all the hubbub about the song the past couple of days, I thought I'd embed the YouTube video while it's still online...

I've been a Jason Aldean fan since his first album.
He was a headliner at the Las Vegas shooter event

I played this song for my wife just an hour ago. She just nodded her understanding of why it resonates with me.

It's more of a social media post put to music than it is a song, but, I appreciated it.

There's not a note of it that's in any way racist.

I guess I'm a crochety, obsolete old fart, but I was liking him until I saw those big freaking earrings.....

The music volume is way to high and Aldean's audio to low for my old ears. Otherwise I like the content

I am right there with you and yeah, I think we are getting old. When I was a teen, one earing stud was going out on a limb and the saying was always something like left is right and right is wrong? Or something to that affect. But even back then, most of us questioned the masculinity of the males getting an earing. Now they all do it right before tattooing some kind of dumb _______ all up and down their arm. They think it is cool now. Hahaha... if any of them are not too stupid to live another 40 years, they are going to feel like real live idiots.

I like how well the cancelation is working. It's the #1 song on iTunes yesterday and today. It's #1 on the country music charts. The YouTube video I embedded has had 6.5 million views in less than 6 days.
