Yes, this is a new gun, just bought from GM, so I would think it does. I bought the gun maybe 2 months ago.

Just in case that question comes up again you can look at the envelope with the test casing and it will have the date on it in the form of:
day:month:year
If it is ~March 2006 or later it has the Melonite finish

The fired casing has a date of March 6, 2007, so it does have the newer finish.

Nope, sorry, gotta keep the subcompact. The only real reason for selling the Service is that I shoot the sub-compact just as well, so I don't really need the Service model.
