Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

Never thought it would feel so good to see these words!!

After seeing many people getting their plastic in about 35 days and others who wait longer than 60 days, I was about to give up and stop looking. I just checked after lunch and there it is! Now I can start checking my mailbox 50 times a day! LOL

Come on USPS!! Walmart is waiting for me!

Yes sir you are right! I really hope I paid this much, and waited this long, and continue to practice for nothing.

Is it bad to call relative while you are at work and have them go check your mail for you? LOL

I am thinking of buying cookies for my USPS worker.

I called and texted my wife for her to check the mail as soon as she got home (about 1730), but she wasn't responding. Finally, she answered and I asked her if she had checked the mail and her response was, "I can't, I have both the babies, one of them will open the door and run out." This is true, so I had to wait until I made it home. (about 2000).

And there it was plain white envelope with no letter, just my license! My wife knew it was there and just wanted me to discover the surprise. Awww, what a weird way to show her love and what a way to return it by protecting her with my concealed carry.

So, my status changed on the 26th and I received my plastic on the 28th.

I will let you know how my Wally Walk goes. Does anyone know if they serve low fat nachos? LOL I have a 14 mile run tomorrow and I don't think Nachos is good fuel.

After the run of 14 miles you can afford the calories in the full fat version.

Wally walk completed! Had the wife and 2 babies and had no problems at all. Except for the fact that this particular one doesn't sell Nachos, and I refuse to eat McDonalds. I even bought amo.

ktusc, I'm glad to hear everything went smoothly. I'm glad you got it so quickly.

Please extend an invitation to your wife to join us.

Thx! I have been working on convincing my wife for a while. I mean I am glad she feels safe and protected around me, but I am not always around. We live in a bad area and have seen our share of violence. Northeast Houston isn't a very secure place to live.

I will continue to work with her and get her more and more comfortable with her gun and the idea of carrying it.
