Something I read somewhere else the other day suggested that a purse is the worst thing to carry a gun in.. Besides all the rest of the junk that would be in it they were saying that a lot of times the assailant grabs the purse 1st and it would be much wiser to carry guns on the body so that couldnt happen. That way the assailant not only has yer money and credit cards but also yer keys and a handy gun to come visit you with later...FWIW

Yes Byron you have a very good point. There are no perfect ways to carry. Any way we carry we must be able to conceal it and protect it at all times. I do appreciate the input on the purse.

SkipB,

Tell your wife that purse carry is just fine. It is ceratinly better than leaving the gun at home! Holster purses have a dedicated place for the gun and can be accessed very quickly with a little practice. Some ladies just can't carry on their person very easily. I know.

But remind her....she can't carry at the gunshow. Ugh!

Edit to add: At least not under the authority of her CHL.

Well here it is Sunday close to noon. Got up this morning and mowed and fertilized the yard and then turned on the sprinkler system. Yesterday we arrived at the gun show a few minutes past 10:00am. Met Keith B there, he is a very nice person and is one of the good guys and we enjoyed meeting him and spending a few hours visiting with him. My wife did fine her a purse and on the next isle she found the same purse for $11 cheaper, but hey she got her purse. I picked up a few items as we browsed the show and signed up with the TSRA before we left. We very much enjoyed the show and the visit with Keith. By the way thanks to you all for you comments, I do appreciate the input.

It was my pleasure meeting Skip and his lovely wife. Really enjoyed the visit!

The show was a little thin on vendors, since it was last weekend of the fair, the air show at Alliance Airport and maninly, the big gun show in Tulsa. Hoever, did find a couple of things I wanted as well as the original item for Skip's wife.

Did get to see the new Ruger SR9. Prices were really varied ($499 - $599.) However, every venfor had them. If you are in the market for one they shold be plentiful, unlike the new Walther PPS 9. Have only seen one of them in person. Pretty impressive little pistol.

Not a bad way to kill some time on a Saturday!
