I was walking through some public playing fields and saw this.....I didn't think much of it, but thinking back on it, I should have probably told the guy that he was printing more than the Dallas Morning News. What would you say to the person? I'm not picking on the guy......he seemed to conceal a bit better when standing upright, but I could almost tell what make his pistol was.

I wouldn't tell anyone he was printing. There's no way to know if the guy is a jumpy fugitive or gang member.

Someone will eventually call the cops, and the situation will be worked out.

I think it was overly obvious that he was a parent at the game. He left with significant other and child, and I would hope someone who is THAT obvious is carrying legally. Still, that's a good point.

I agree w/ you that all appearances are that he is a parent.
If we are going to adhere to the tenent of:
If things dont look right then things probably aren't right then we need to trust our developed skills of observation when things appear to be right.

If you had a child or grandchild there playing, it would be proper to strike up a conversation. The gangbangers are easy to separate because they dont want to VISIT w/ anyone.

I really like your above response. "Well, my new friend, UUUhhh, Very nice untucked shirt, but it is printing more than the DMN."
May well give you the chance to share some of what you learned here or through the yrs. Could be very appreciated.
I know one fellow that will not loosen up his shirts. He emphasizes the addage that all sheeple never notice anything & CHLers dont care. He could be the same. My guess is that he would want to know.

I had one time that the wife said during a shopping trip, "UUUhhh, I just noticed, that rig & that shirt really dont go together." Never wore the combo again.

But, with regard to the picture.....that is exactly why I always sit down with my carry side to the wall (or inside a booth) to eliminate that possibility.

And I don't do sporting activities........

Regarding Mr. Greenshirt. I would probably strike up a conversation to check him out. Then gently let him know he was showing.

Edit to say: I've changed my mind...I'd club him over the head and take his weapon. I need a new gun.

Seriously, not saying anything is probably the best policy.

I didn't find it obvious from the photo that he was a parent of a child in the game. Even if he was, he could have been a non-custodial parent planning to change that situation by force. It happens.

I'd just mind my own business. For one thing, I'm not sure from the picture that the guy is packing a gun. There's something under there, but I'm not sure what it is. Imagine if it's a PDA and you go babbling to the guy about him "printing". Furthermore, he might not appreciate unsolicited advice as to proper carry methods. I've found that some people don't take kindly to my advice. Why go borrowing trouble?

It might just be the way you give advice. How about just saying " Hey buddy, just letting you know, if you are carrying a gun, it is printing through your shirt." Then keep walking. I don't think you have to carry out an investigation on a complete stranger.
Just like when someone drops money in line at the cash register. You point it out and move on. Don't think someone is going to immediately say MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. Unless you want to know where they got the money from.

Oh, maybe because the guy might then decide to seriously violate the 10 year old daughter rule while venting at me for "outing" him to a bunch of (now) horrified sheeple in the immediate vicinity.

But I'll give you this. If I observe the guy for a while and he seems to be an OK guy, I might discretely mention it (that he is printing) to him in a neighborly way.

I would think that whispering to the guy was a given, but I guess I have to be specific for some people. So just add whispering in his ear (masculine like) to my previous post.
