Sometimes I get lucky

I picked up some Remington 230gr FMJ bullets a while back and decided they looked like pretty good bullets. Very smooth surfaces and consistent weight.
I loaded up a hundred of them with what Hodgden says is the starting load of Clays (3.7 grs). I loaded them to an OAL of 1.255" and used mixed headstamp brass and Magtech 2 1/2 primers.
I set the target at 10 yards, pointed my old Kimber at the lower left quadrant of the target and fired one shot. Then I aimed at the first hole and fired 4 more shots. At first, I thought it was hitting 6" low, below the paper in the black target board. Then I brought the target back. My first reaction to seeing the 5 shot group was
but that quickly turned to
Folks looked at me like I had 2 heads with blue mohawks.
Other than trigger work, grip tape, sights and magwell, the gun is box stock. The barrel, bushing, slide and frame fit is factory and this is/was their entry level gun. No frills series 1.
Anyway, I plan to load a bunch more rounds using this recipe. The 25 yard plate rack at the Haltom City Rifle and Pistol Club is in trouble now.
