So I did the online application paid $140, and started doing the rest of the stuff, have my first course on sunday.

The question is this:

I have been reading about convictions and was wondering if I should even continue with trying to get it if I am not able to.

I have a felony arrest which shouldnt be a problem, we settled with a class B misdeamenor "deferred adjudication" it was not related to domestic violence or disorderly conduct, or any sort of drug related case.

I was able to get my p94 and M4 through an FFL transfer no problem, just wondering about the case, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't think it is going to go through.....

As long as its not a felony conviction, it should not be a problem. It must be I think at least 5 years ago for the final disposition of the class "B"

There are others here that can give you the waiting period better than me though.

As long as you are more than 5 years past the date of conviction, you are OK.

You WILL be required to provide certified copies of the disposition of your case, so you should go ahead and start working on that.

There is your answer. I had a felony deffered adjudication and had to wait ten years before I qualified, but now I have plastic in my pocket and a pistol on my side! So long as it has been five years from the date of conviction, NOT the day you were discharged from probation you will be golden.

These guys are on target. You've got 5 years on class B. Ten years on most non-violent, non-weapons related felonies disposed by deferred adjudication. If you were revoked, you've got an extra 2 years to wait. Just list everything in your application and provide certified copies of the court records and you should be just fine.
