Why not a bronze statue of a Navajo soldier in Washington, DC honoring the Navajo Code Talkers? They have been overlooked and neglected for decades and it is time we pick up the torch and get a lasting monument erected on the Mall to honor these fine people who did so much to help us win WWII? Anyone interested in this challenge?

I think it is a splendid, and long overdue topic.

The Navajo Code Talkers have been recognized over the years, but they will never be recognized enough. I was privy to some of the recognitions and the various ways in which we have included them in recent times while I worked at the Pentagon. I have also met some of these outstanding Warriors at various functions. Following is a link to one of the most publicized recognitions.
