What's the deal? I am getting really tired of waiting for NV to accept our CHL's. My parents recently moved there so I'll be going there quite often.
Where's the love?! :?

Nevada's permit requires you to qualify with the specific model gun(s) that you're going to carry. Could be the reason that reciprocity has been so slow?

I'm trying to find out what's going on with Nevada. It may well be the "specific gun" requirement, but I'll post any information I can get.

According to the Packing.Org Website.. Nevada has Reprocity with no one.

I think Nevada is another state that issues permits county by county. I think they also have a problem with reprocity between counties.
But I can't remember where I read that so take it with a grain of salt.

Clark County (Read Las Vegas) requires that specific guns be registered to your permit. I believe that they are the only ones who do this save North Las Vegas. I know that Boulder city is also very strange as to how they handle guns.
Do a search on TheHighroad.org for Las Vegas. I asked a few questions as I applied to UNLV and wanted some information. I would also suggest checking Glocktalk.com as well. I use the same name "Tecumseh" on both sites.
I would suggest getting an out of state permit if you will be there often. It seems that is the only way you can carry concealed in Vegas. Open carry is legal in the rest of Nevada but not Las Vegas. My guess is that it scares the tourists and the city wants to keep the money flowing. Scared sheeple are bad for business.

The problem with an out of state permit is that Nevada does NOT honor any states permits. None, zip, zero.

I think he was advocating getting a non-resident Nevada permit.
