spin-off of "mugger's purse"

I didn't want to hijack the other thread so I started a new one...

I have thought about this before and the "mugger's purse" thread caused me to think about it again.

How many of you carry your CHL in your wallet? Let's say the boogie man gets the drop on you with gun/knife in hand. Odds are (at least for me), I can't draw from concealed and neutralize the threat without becoming a victim myself. But, I shudder to think of the outcome if the bad guy (or maybe his buddy) flips open my wallet and sees the CHL. I think my likelyhood of being a vicitm would increase exponentially. I am almost inclined to think that I would have no choice but to attempt a counterattack with or without my gun.

Anybody else ever play out this scenario? Anybody carry a mugger's wallet or at least keep the DL and CHL separate from the wallet full of money?

I don't carry any credit cards, only 1 ATM debit card that requires pin to use and my money is in my pocket not my wallet.

If goblins demands my wallet after I decide to give up my money, my kimber is in a comptac c-tac right over my pocket with my wallet....

Interesting you posted this as I was thinking of starting at thread about where you keep your chl card.

I have mine face down under my DL, after I saw someone eying it while I slide my DL out for a clerk to read the info. So now when I slide my DL out all you see it the back of the CHL and not colors and picture.

Anyone else?

I have mine in the pocket behind the ID window with my department I.D. in it. My DL is behind that. Presumably, if I have not had a senior moment when I last replaced the DL, then I can blindly retrieve just the DL and with a slight increase of pressure, the CHL if needed.

There has been the rare moment when I had screwed up while replacing the DL and pulled the CHL instead later and while not watching. One time the clerk looked down and wryly said, "I think you want the other one."
