tracking number/pin??

tracking number/pin??

hey all, this is wierd to me as when i applied there was no "tracking"
but my wife is waiting for her CHL to come and they want a pin number?? to access the details??

where/what/how do we find out this # for her to be able to check her status?

It depends on how the application was made.

If the application was made online then the PIN will be on the completed application received from DPS.

If it was a non-online application, DPS will mail the PIN to the applicant after they pre-screen the application. It seems to be taking about 30 days to get the PINs this way.

cool... it was done online, packet mailed to us filled out and sent in... probably about a month ago... just curious b/c they haven't sent anything yet...

on the plus side we found her a carry weapon last week, but waiting is getting annoying to ME... and i as curious how to check this out.. thx

If she kept a copy of her application she'll find the PIN on first page. Other than the application, DPS did not send me the PIN again.
