There have been some issues with the board where it was not obvious that a post was accepted, resulting in further attempts. That's probably what happened here.

When originally posted I was getting errors. None of the attempts showed up until later so I did not know.
And I would not knowingly make the same post over and over.

Just a quick plug for my friends at
http://www.gripus.com/ in San Angelo. In 1911 grips--wood, acrylic, or pewter--they'll customize just about anything you want. It's not completely evident from the Website, but just give 'em a call. They'll give you flush to the magwell, cut with a 1/32 gap to the magwell, ambi or single safety, safety cut extra deep, you name it.

Outstanding vendor / outstanding product!!
Last year, for Christmas, I got my brother a set of the floral mesquite grips for his Kimber Gold Combat.
I took a closeup of his HPD badge and they replicated it perfectly on one grip.
On the other, I had them engrave the 82nd Airborne emblem.
If I'm not mistaken, Carlson also had some custom grips made.
I have these on both of my Taurus 1911's.

The price is fair and the service is excellent.
